Thailand’s new UNESCO World Heritage site is missing a few treasures

Thailand has a new UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Si Thep Historical Park. It is the site of an ancient city that’s over 1,500 years old. Thai archaeologists want to get a full picture of this site, but are hindered by looting of artifacts that hold important clues. They say that one of Si Thep’s artifacts is at the Norton Simon Museum in the United States. They are also worried that an increase in tourism could damage the fragile site.
